Termed as “the world’s most exclusive and expensive coffee”, Black Ivory is made in Northern Thailand from coffee beans that have passed through an elephant’s digestive system.
This is the brainchild of 40 year-old Blake Dinkin. The Canadian national quit his job and founded the Black Ivory Coffee Company Ltd.The Arabica coffee beans are fed to elephants and then collected from their feces after 14 to 70 hours.
Its taste has been described as “very smooth without the bitterness of regular coffee”.
However, the most interesting thing is the gap between the tradition coffee and the Arabica coffee beans when it comes to pricing. While the common cup of coffee in the local coffee places go for about $2-3 per cup, the “elephant coffee” will cost you roughly $ 50 per same cup of coffee to enjoy the rare taste.
A Kilogram goes for Around $1100 . Though so far, they is no any official report that this coffee may be having special health or body effects to its consumers or it is just as normal as the others
