Renault Kenya has revealed a new passenger vehicle, the KWID model, whose design strategy symbolizes dynamic performance, robust strength and a taste for adventure.
The KWID has features like the SUV-inspired design language, touch screen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, spacious cabin and peppy 800cc three-cylinder petrol engine.
Speaking during the launch, Renault Kenya Brand Manager, Jonathan Dos Santos said that this vehicle has various unique features among them fuel efficiency of up to 25.17 kilometers per liter and a three year warranty.
“Whizzing around city traffic or zooming down the highway, Renault KWID is the ideal car for you”, said Dos Santos.
In attendance was Simba Corporation Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Chaggar, who said that it was their hope that this would be the catalyst that the brand needed to finally waken up the interest from the Kenyan government.
“We are embarking on a network expansion strategy for genuine spare parts, and you will be able to access these parts in over 100 locations countrywide within the coming years,” Paul noted.
He added that they were targeting low range customers, especially average graduates from the university who are not able to afford a new car and are giving these people the option to enjoy a new car.
Renault has to date invested over 1.7 M USD in the motor business offering incomparable models at affordable prices in the market. Over 116 units have been sold since 2014.
This brand has been launched country wide, in areas like Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Kisii and will soon open in Nanyuki and later in more outlets in country in the next few years.
