Milimani court chief magistrate, found three accused guilty of selling counterfeit goods.

Janet nzisa  silas , Peter Macharia Ndirangu and Elvis Wambugu Wakonyo pleaded guilty before Senior magistrate  P. Ooko at Milimani law court  Nairobi County.

The three were charged with having in their possession in the course trade, counterfeit goods.

Contrary to section 32(a) as read with the section 35(1) of the anti-counterfeit act. At Iconix electronics, salute electronics and Hisa electronics, within Nairobi county along River road Luthuli lane.

They had in their possession  in the course  of trade over one hundred and thirty  pieces  of complete  Antennae branded  JE  calculated  to cause  confusion  as to the origin  of the original  protected  GOTV products  all valued to over three hundred thousand Kenya shillings.

The Prosecution alerted the court that the three accused were first time offenders and did not object to their release on fine or serve sentences. On their defense the three accused pleaded for lenient fine and mercy saying they were just trying to make a living. The court gave them an option of fine and they were released.
