Co-operative Bank held customers networking in Eldoret to train chief executives from the region to deliberate on key issues concerning the cooperative industry.
The Customer Networking Forums for Micro, Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) is targeting customers Country wide aiming to upper their strategies on how to grow their businesses and the operating environment.
The Customer Networking Forums are a key part of Co-op Bank’s MSME program as it is widely acknowledged that MSMEs need the insights and training on economic matters that have a direct bearing on their business, and which they have little or no control over.
Co-op Bank Head of SME Banking, Mr. Anthony Kinyua said that the aim is to train its customers on strategies to grow their business.
“We are committed to educate our customers in the cooperative movement while discussing the global economic outlook versus Kenya’s economic outlook,”he said.
He said the organizations are faced with numerous institutional challenges which they must address in order to attain their goals.
This year’s workshop covers a wide range of topics such as building technological capabilities in co-operatives which will help the participants think strategically about technology beyond adoption and managing the associated risks.
