Huaweis’ entry level smartphone Y5 Prime has recorded 10,000 device sales in one month surpassing the previously set target.

The increased sales represent a growth of 120%.

According to Huawei, Feedback from the consumers is that the phone is the best in the market for entry level customers given its main features and the pricing.

“This is a great milestone in the company this year having launched two devices in the last few months. Y5 Prime 2018 sales are at 10,000 devices within a month. This achievement is also as a result of our partnership with Jumia Kenya. This year’s model has been to capitalize on online platforms to help us push the brand awareness and sales in addition to retail shops,” said Derrick Duh the head of Marketing at Huawei.

Duh said that consumers are especially happy about the RAM, the long battery life and the 4G network on the smartphone.

HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 features an intelligent 2-in-1 receiver. The receiver identifies outdoor noise and then prompts the user to switch to powerful receiver mode using the volume key.

The powerful receiver mode provides three volume settings to maximize the sound, and automatically adjusts to the surrounding noise level under the auto mode.

HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 features the latest Android 8.1.0 and 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM to ensure an excellent experience. The Android 8.1.0 bring consumers the best advantages of software and hardware integration as well as the superior performance of CPU, allowing better user experience at all levels.
