Peter Mwaura Wanjiku, MCA aspirant in Gatong’ora ward, Kiambu County, says that his manifesto is based on uniting the people.

The independent candidate says that his interests will be basic and purely based on service delivery for the people.

By bringing people together, service will be well delivered. I know what my people want and I’m ready to implement most if not all for a change in this ward.” Said Mwaura.

Mwaura visited Kiratina primary school in Kiratina village, where he engaged with the residents and identified proper school infrastructure, good roads, lighting and drainage as some of the challenges he will prioritise fixing once elected.

We as the public can initiate a project that can assist people without the need to involve the government.” He said

“We have a sewer here in Ruiru and we are the immediate neighbours and we are not connected. We only inhale the awful smell. This is one of the things I will look into.”

His interests also lie in education and he says he will focus on the school’s committees to see them focused on the school’s interests.

Mwaura said he understands the ward’s problem having engaged with the residents and some leaders and he is in to make a good impact.
