Nairobi leaders want quick investigations over brutal church killings

Leaders in Nairobi are calling for quick investigations into the killing of two worshipers in a Nairobi Church.

Led by Makadara MP George Aladwa ,the leaders want authorities to investigate and give satisfactory explanation on how armed robbers on Friday morning attacked Sakina Church in Nairobi’s Makongeni area.

The robbers killed two worshippers who were in the church, an incident that has left the locals hell shocked.

Aladwa wants the Makadara Sub County OCPD,Makongeni OCS and the DCIO to speed up investigations.

” We want answers as soon as possible because such incidences mean that out security is under threat,”

Aladwa wants the government to beef up security in the area and to assure residents that they are free from any terror threats.

Reportsindicate that the attackers stabbed one of the victims severally, killing them on the spot.

Makadara DCIO Henry Kiambati in a response to the Star said  the robbers made away with several musical instruments that belonged to the church.

Police commander Karanja Muiruri reported that the suspects had begun surveying the church early in the morning and when worshippers started arriving, they started collecting information from unsuspecting church-goers about the number of congregants who attend mass, the church capacity and where the bishop and priests reside.

Worshippers soon grew suspicious about the men’s intentions when they realised they were not interested in the church service.

Aladwa wants the government to beef up security in the area and to assure residents that they are free from any terror threats.

” Makongeni and Makadara in general has always been safe so we want the govt to guarantee us our security.
