Reprieve for the elderly with launch of homes with assisted living facilities

Superior Homes have announced the launch of a new home concept specifically targeted at the elderly.

Dubbed Fadhili Care the living complex will be home to 41 self-contained houses and a club house with nurses to cater for any emergencies that may arise due to old age

The construction of the Homes broke ground on February 2018 and is expected to be completed by first quarter of 2019

“The development when complete will comprise, 41 self-contained individual homes thoughtfully designed to accommodate senior citizens with limited mobility, a Medical Centre, clubhouse with common kitchen and library, well maintained gardens, a guard house and security wall.”

“Fadhili Care accommodation will be for elderly residents who broadly fit the category of over 65 years of age, of sound mind, reasonably mobile, including by wheelchair, can look after themselves to some extent and need some assistance,” said John Adede, Digital Media Marketer Superior Homes

The new development will be second in Africa to incorporate the features for assisted living.

Adede points out the elderly have been given little attention due to the fact that after retiring they have to go back home to the rural areas forcing them to be away from their children and grandchildren

“This therefore created the need for a facility that will incorporate them into the society where they can be looked after well,” he added.
