Tourism in Nakuru projected to rise with completion of ksh800m luxury homes

Nakuru County is set to receive a boost in tourism facilities following the completion of KSh800

Constructed by Superior Homes Kenya the luxury homes sit on a 12-acre plot along Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, the facility boasts of breathtaking uninterrupted panoramic views of Lake Elementaita, consisting of 33 standard Villas, 13 Villa Suites and 4 Executive Villas, conference facility with access to recreation facilities such as a bar and restaurant, gym, spa and an infinity swimming pool.

“With the tourism sector projected to grow in double digits in 2018, Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge is a great addition to Nakuru County. This is more than a resort, it is a retreat place away from the Nairobi City hustle and bustle in an environment of nature and harmony, a haven of peace, relaxation and tranquility with a taste of luxury,” said Superior Homes Kenya MD Ian Henderson.

Residents at the lodge will get to enjoy easy access to Lake Elementaita, a unique opportunity to birdwatch at one of UNESCO’S heritage sites, Kekopey Hot Springs, game drives at Nakuru National Park, Menengai Crater, a hike at Mt. Longonot, among other touristic attractions in Nakuru County.

“With the expected completion of Standard Gauge Railway Phase 2A that is expected to connect Nairobi to Kampala via Naivasha, Kisumu and Malaba, we expect to see a boost in local tourism in Kenya with the ease of access to Naivasha and Nakuru towns,” said Ian.

“We also expect that this development will boost the economy of Nakuru County through job creation opportunities for the local community with a key aim of improving livelihoods,” he added.

With a great view of the wondrous volcanic scape at the Lake Elementaita, this luxury development is expected to attract both local and international tourists. The lodge is due for occupation and operational in October 2018. Also Read: https://www.ceoafrica.co.ke/cytonn-report-points-out-at-a-positive-fresh-retail-market-appetite/
