Turkey set for 2nd commemoration after rise above coup attempt

The Turkish Embassy has called for concerted efforts in the fight against international terrorism and a close scrutiny to institutions that might be aiding terrorism activities.

speaking ahead of the second commemoration since the attempted coup in Turkey, The ambassador to Kenya Cemil Miroğlu, noted that FETO schools (The mother organisation behind the failed Turkey coup attempt) have been closely inspected in several countries and investigations into their opeartives stepped up.

“What happened in Turkey two years ago is a reminder of what this organisation may be capable of doing elsewhere. We paid a heavy price for conceding to their benign doscourse. we do not want other countries to suffer a similar fate in the future,” said Miroğlu.

The celebrations set for 15th will be the second in a row since the country woke up to the deadly attack that led to the death of 250 Turkish citizens leaving other 2000 wounded
